Welcome to Studio on 1675!
Hello to all our new and returning clients! We’re thrilled to introduce ourselves and share a little about our space!
We are Chandi and Jason Kesler, born and raised right here in the Bloomington, Illinois area, and proud parents to three wonderful children.
I’m a local photographer based in Bloomington and have been shooting full-time since 2015. In 2019, Jason and I built our home with the vision of incorporating a private studio and separate entrance – and it’s been nothing short of amazing.
As a photographer, I understand how challenging it can be to find unique locations that offer privacy, away from the hustle and bustle of public settings. Over time, our property became my favorite place to shoot. The natural light, the meadows, the creek, and our garden, which we’ve been growing into a dreamy space for photos, have all contributed to its charm. The greenhouse, in particular, has become one of our year-round favorites. It combines the best of both worlds – the outdoor ambiance with the coziness of being indoors – and can be beautifully decorated to fit any season!
In late 2022, we realized that our property could serve as a creative haven for other photographers and artists. We wanted to offer a space where people could explore and create privately, without the distractions of crowded public locations. Jason, with his background in property management, has been instrumental in ensuring everything runs smoothly. It’s been such a joy watching people use every corner of our space in unique and innovative ways. We’ve met so many amazing people along the way!
We’re so excited to have you with us, and we hope you’ll love it here as much as we do. 2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year with lots of exciting changes ahead! We’re revamping the studio with new flooring and the addition of LED light walls, which will help eliminate the need for traditional studio lighting. Our goal is to create a blank canvas that allows for complete creative freedom.
Outside, we have plans to add decks to the garden buildings, string lights throughout, and expand our floral beds next to the greenhouse. We’re also adding a new parking area, with construction slated to begin in the spring.
It’s going to be an exciting year at Studio on 1675, and we’re so grateful to have you along for the journey!
The Spaces
THE PROPERTY + GREENHOUSE
We have 7 acres nestled right on the edge of Bloomington, Illinois. Our outdoor space backs up to rolling hills with a sunset view, a winding creek, a vintage tree swing and grassy meadows, with wild sunflowers that bloom in the fall.
We also have a vintage shed that looks great in photos, adorable buildings with window boxes overflowing with flowers in the warmer months and, last but not least, the cutest greenhouse you’ve ever seen!
THE STUDIO
Our studio is fully equipped with a room full of props, clothing, backdrop fabrics and the option for up to 5 different “rooms” for you to create to your fullest potential.
We currently use LED and studio lighting and offer complimentary training (based on availability) for those who want a little assistance getting started with studio lighting.
